Duke Health Hematologist / Oncologist



Duke Health and Duke Cancer Network are seeking an additional Hematologist / Oncologist to join Duke’s team in developing and supporting a large network of affiliated community-based cancer programs and providers.

Hired role has significant clinical, plus some administrative, responsibilities within Duke and in surrounding medical communities in North Carolina. Minimal call responsibilities.    

Ideal candidate would have a strong interest in developing the latest in cancer treatment to local communities and in developing community-based clinical research. Physician would be “home based” in Raleigh/Durham, seeing patients several days/wk at Duke Cancer Network clinical sites.       

Typical week would include three days/week in clinics seeing own panel of patients. This allows one full day/wk to focus on physician’s own academic Hematology/Oncology interests at Duke University Medical Center.     

Current Duke Cancer Network staff includes 3 Duke-based faculty physicians, 10 community-based faculty physicians,  3 APP’s, and 16 professional and support staff whose functions include administration and oversight of clinical and program operations/research/education, including a research team  of nurses and regulatory staff.
