Director of Research Initiatives
The Children’s Health & Discovery Institute seeks a Director of Research Initiatives who will provide strategic and operational leadership for research initiatives, research portfolio management, and engagement activities for investigators and trainees both within and external to Duke. The Director of Research Initiatives will work with CHDI leadership and related entities to develop and implement strategies that facilitate research into child health and well-being and the long-term consequences of early life factors that contribute to disease risk. This faculty position (track V, non-tenure track) will interact campus-wide with researchers and administrators to ensure coordination and synergy of efforts between CHDI and various offices, programs, tools, and initiatives. Additionally, the Direct of Research Initiative will oversee all CHDI operations and liaise with appropriate entities both internal and external to Duke University in order to develop and execute research initiatives, CHDI programming, and research and community engagement. The Director of Research Initiatives will oversee the development of strategic partnerships and investment opportunities with other Duke University offices and programs, industry, federal agencies, and philanthropy.
