Duke Department of Anesthesiology Seeks Anesthesiology Faculty for Durham VAMC


The Duke Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full time anesthesiologist to work clinically at the Durham VAMC but have a joint appointment with the VA and Duke University Medical Center. Ideal candidates will be BC/BE in Anesthesiology, and possess fellowship training or qualifications in regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine.  The ideal candidate should also have strong academic accomplishments (publications, research, or educational interests).

Clinical responsibilities will include non-cardiac OR (all specialties except pediatrics), non-OR anesthesia (Gi endoscopy, radiology, etc), main OR call, perioperative optimization clinic coverage. Leadership and administrative experience, and experience and qualifications in the organization of a Perioperative Pain Service are highly desired.
