Duke, Division of Cardiology Advanced Imaging Cardiologist


Duke University Division of Cardiology is seeking an Advanced Imaging Cardiologist to join the faculty as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine.  The ideal candidate will be integral in advancing the clinical, research, and educational missions of the Duke Echocardiography laboratory and the Cardiac Diagnostic Unit. The position requires advanced, fellowship training in echocardiography (Level III) and nuclear imaging (Level II or above).  The right candidate will also have the opportunity to be involved in the Division’s Cardiac MRI program.  

In addition to cardiac imaging activities, this position would have limited clinical responsibilities. The candidate would be expected to participate in and help advance existing research programs in cardiac imaging with mentorship and resources available in one or more of the following areas of cardiovascular imaging: clinical trials, data science, observational database research and/or engineering. In addition to clinical and research duties, teaching responsibilities include the education of cardiology fellows,and cardiac sonographers.

Applicants should possess outstanding clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills, be board- certified in Internal Medicine, and BC/BE in cardiovascular disease.  Candidate must be licensed in the state of North Carolina by the time of appointment.
