Duke Health Seeks Hematologist/Oncologist
Duke Health and Duke Cancer Network are seeking an additional Hematologist/Oncologist to join Duke’s team in developing and supporting a large network of affiliated community-based cancer programs and providers.
Ideal candidate would have a strong interest in developing the latest in cancer treatment to local communities and in developing community-based clinical research.
Hired physician would be “home-based” in Raleigh/Durham, and willing to make several “day trips” each week to various Hematology/Oncology clinic locations in North Carolina.
Your typical week would include three to four days/week in clinics seeing your own panel of patients and one to two days/week “protected time” to focus on your academic activities, based on your Hematology/Oncology interests.
Current Duke Cancer Network staff includes 3 Duke-based physicians, 5 community-based physicians, 4 APP’s in conjunction with clinical practice and education, research, regulatory and business operations staff.
Hired role has significant clinical responsibilities within Duke and in surrounding medical communities. Very minimal call responsibilities which are “phone call coverage” only!
