PDC Names Ambulatory Practice Management Fellows

Duke PDC

The DHIP is pleased to offer a two year administrative fellowship to recent MHA/MBA graduates interested in gaining hands-on practice management experience.  The program allows participants to expand their knowledge in the health care field and provides exposure to all aspects of physician practice management and operations.  Following a detailed orientation, participants focus on project work that aligns with their interests and the needs of the DHIP.

Camille-Grant

CAMILLE GRANT
Camille Grant is an aspiring healthcare leader. Originally from Connecticut, she completed her undergraduate degree at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland where she majored in Public Health with an emphasis in Natural Sciences and a concentration in Health Policy and Management. After graduating, Camille joined Teach for America to serve as a Science Teacher in Metro Atlanta. For two years, Camille taught high school Biology, Earth Systems, and Chemistry while pursuing a Master of Arts in Broad Field Secondary Science Education. After graduating and completing her term with Teach for America in 2013, Camille attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to pursue a Masters in Health Care Administration. Camille has an interest in operations and strategy, patient education, and women and children’s health.

John-Ruch

JOHN RUCH

Born and raised in North Carolina, John Ruch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Clemson University and a Master of Management Studies from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. He also studied at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and is fluent in Spanish. Since graduating from Fuqua, John has applied his skills to problem-solving within the health care industry. He has strong interests in finance, communications and corporate strategy.

Lauren-Walls

LAUREN WALLS
Lauren received a graduate degree in Healthcare Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington in August 2014.  While studying, she served as the Cohort Vice President and was an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association.  She has worked as a Health Management Consultant for two years assisting health systems to achieve operational and performance goals in the areas of regulatory compliance, internal audit and revenue cycle services.  Lauren has worked across healthcare provider settings ranging from physician-owned hospitals, academic medical centers, physician groups, and non-profit health systems.  She thrives in a team-oriented environment and approaches challenges with tact and diplomacy.
