Join us in welcoming the 2017-2019 Administrative Fellows Rachel Liao, MHA, and Sonia Kohli, MHA, to DHIP’s Administrative Fellowship. The DHIP Fellowship is a two-year program for Masters-level graduates pursuing career-development, hands-on experience, and exposure to the healthcare industry.

“We are excited to have the new first-year fellows on board,” says second-year fellow Austin Williams, MHA. “They bring new ideas and fresh energy and will have a lot to contribute along their journey through the program.”

Kohli, of Hilton Head, South Carolina, earned her MHA from the Medical University of South Carolina.  She is interested in women’s health, patient experience, and diversity awareness.

“I am thrilled to join the DHIP and have been made to feel very welcome here. I am excited to learn from an amazing team and continue to gain further knowledge and experience throughout the Fellowship,” says Kohli.

Liao, a Cary, North Carolina native and University of Washington graduate with an MHA, hopes to hone her knowledge in the areas of ambulatory operations, care management, process improvement, and patient safety.

“The DHIP staff members I’ve worked with have been welcoming, warm, and helpful,” says Liao. “I feel deeply honored to be spending the next two years in the DHIP Administrative Fellowship program.”

In their first year, Kohli and Liao will shadow senior administrators as they rotate through DHIP’s clinical and administrative departments. The second year involves more focused projects that align with their career interests and organizational priorities.

“Sonia and Rachel are vibrant, passionate, and intelligent additions to the team,” says second-year fellow, Herlydcia “Herly” Joseph-Andre, MHA. “I am confident they will make great additions to the DHIP.”
