CALL FOR APPLICATION: Tuition Support Program for Duke Master of Management in Clinical Informatics - Deadline March 15, 2016
The Duke Master of Management in Clinical Informatics (MMCi) program is designed to expand the number of informatics-trained clinicians, IT professionals, and administrators. Duke MMCi offers a specialized curriculum that combines health informatics and business to give its graduates the skills to intersect informatics and technology and enhance their use in the health care industry.
The PDC, Duke University Health System and Clinical Departments are offering a competitive tuition support program to up to 10 PDC members who are accepted into the MMCi program and have support of their department chair and supervisors.
The MMCi program holds classes every other Friday and Saturday for 12 months at Duke so participants can continue their clinical practice. The program is currently accepting applications for August 2016 start.
Interested participants are encouraged to participate in an Open House on Saturday, March 12. The Open House includes sitting in a class, meeting current students, hearing from faculty and administration and meeting a panel of MMCi alums. To arrange a class visit sooner, contact Randy Sears (email@example.com).

The tuition support program will cover the difference between the amount of the tuition and the amount paid through all other sources. The reimbursement will be reduced by any amount that qualifies under other Duke programs, whether or not the participant secures such reimbursement/payment. The maximum commitment from the program to any participant is $35,000 throughout the duration of the program. The amount received is taxable.
Tuition support applies to only the Master of Management in Clinical Informatics Program offered at Duke University.
Individuals selected to participate are required to sign a commitment to remain on the faculty for three years following the issuance of a degree. The signing of such commitment will not represent a guarantee of employment by the department and will not create any obligation on the part of the department, the PDC, DUHS or Duke beyond the scope of the program.
Any participant who does not attain a degree within the standard expectations of the curriculum, or does not fulfill their entire service commitment, will forfeit the benefit and will be required to pay back all program funds reimbursed/paid by the program.
